Among our biggest local projects was solar plant in Moshav Kadesh Barnea in the construction of which Prime Energy invested 55 million ILS. The solar field in this project has the production capacity of 18 megawatts and started its full operation on May 2021. This field is expected to be used for 23 years with the guide and maintenance of Prime Energy top experts while producing an estimated annual income of 4.7 million ILS.
One of the innovative features that was used in this project, for the first time in Israel, is Dual-use technology. This method of energy production refers to agricultural production and electricity production from solar photovoltaic (PV) panels occurring together on the same piece of land. This extraordinary technology produces maximum efficiency from the given area, which is in any case used for agricultural purposes, to produce green and sustainable energy.
